2015 Blogger New Year's Challenge Days 3 & 4

Blogging New Year's Challenge

Finally time for days 3 & 4 challenge!  After this I am caught up with it.  This is what I get for not remember and getting a reminder 3 days into the new month!

Day 3- The Negative things in 2015 to avoid this year

For me, the biggest is slumps and burnout.  I hit it big last year.  To the point I almost quit blogging.  Instead I decided to change tings up an bit and am going to do even more this next year (wait and see day 10 for more information there).

No outside reading pressure.  Last year I got overly torn between tours, review pressure, recommendations, most popular and reading groups/buddy reads.  I feel out with what I really wanted to read the most, fell behind on what others expected of me and just ended up utterly unraveled.  This year, a more relaxed feel.  Old books, new books, popular or Indy.  I am going back to my reading roots to better enjoy what I do here!

Reading and not reviewing....tsk tsk.  I love the reading but felt the reviewing was more a chore or job this past year.  So doing less up and coming titles and tours most likely so I don't have so many deadline pressures.  Also, looking into changing up how I review a bit if need be.  Also I started being a bit more diligent in notes so that if I don't review right away I retain more still.

Stats.  -I need to look a lot less at followers I have and page views and just do what I love.  I would rather focus more on new blogs to follow and ones I already love.  So pageviews, followers need to take a back seat.  Whiel publsihers may need them, I won't fret them near as much.  If I am denied a book over this, oh well.  There are plenty of books I want to read and I can always wait until it is published.

Taking on too many review books!  I am swamped right now.  I honestly don't even know where to begin to catch up.  So I need to behave on taking in titles by request.

Day 4-Must have books of 2016

Here is the good part about falling behind and slumps.  You don't worry too much about what is coming.  But here are a few I am eager for:

    1. Yes, Brittany @ Book Addict Guide has been "taunting" me with her updates for the last book. Nearly driving me insane for The Winner's Kiss!
