Day 10
How do you choose what book to read next?
Well the first thing I try to watch is deadlines, for what I promised authors or publishers.  Or what is due back to the library.
After that,

Day 9
Why Do You Blog about Books?

This answer should be obvious-I LOVE BOOKS!  I love both reading them and sharing them with others.  Blogging just gives me a wider reach to do so. :)

I used to drive my family nuts by trying to convince them to read books I loved.  I got a lot of "That's nice honey, but I don't feel like reading."  I was always the odd one out in my family.  the only other major reader was my Grandmother several states away and I knew we had different reading tastes.

Day 7
Talk About your blogging Quirks

Hmm, being still new to blogging I am still experimenting on just about everything.  But here are a few tidbits.
  • What I do know is that I LOVE introducing new books to others.  While I love my well known authors I also love the new Debut Indie authors too.  When people see my 'stacking the shelves' a lot of people say. "I've never heard of any of these."  I want to run up to these readers with a copy and say "Here!  Read it.  Take a chance on something new!"  Sadly  most people don't seem to want that though.  They prefer to see yet another review of the same book found on 50 other blogs.  So I strive really hard to give a balance of books.  In genre, age and popularity!

  • I LOVE

15 Day Book Blogging Challenge-Day 5

Day 5
Recommend a Tear Jearker.

Oh boy.  These get tricky as I don't read too many.  for the exact reason of the topic.  A couple tears escaping me once in a book is one thing.  But bringing on the waterworks is another.  One book that did it though was A Child Called It.

A Child Called "It"This book had me crying, wanting to beat the crap out of bad family members and wanting to hold the poor boy and take away all his pain.  If you have not read this, you should.  Very heartbreaking.

Sorry it has taken me awhile to post the next challenge day up.  Busy past week.  Plus I hate posting more than 1-2 posts a day.  But we should be good again for awhile. :)

*Be sure to check out the giveaways I have running! Links are to the right!

Day 4
What was the Last book you flung across the room?

Umm...I do not throw books.  Poor books...

Although I did read this one book recently that made me SO mad I had to turn my kindle off and could not read anything for 2 days.  And I never did finish the book.  Why did I feel this way?  Plagerism, at least, to me it was.  The book:  Eric Elmoor and The Gauntlet of Godric.  Stole city describtions, classes, and specific spells (right done to spell names and what they do), and more from Warcraft.  Might as well have been reading fanfiction.  Oh, wait, they often give credit to the original creator(s) and this did not...  Okay, stopping there before I go into a rant.

Otherwise I came close a couple times reading the last 2 Harry Potter Books,b tu that was out of character frustration.  The books I still loved.

So what about you?  Any book throwing or desire to throw?

Day 3
Who are your blogging BFFS?

Short and sad answer:  I am so new to blogging that I have yet to develop many :(
Still reaching out, learning of other blogs and bloggers.   There are a few who comment here at least once or twice a week, and I back at them or vice-versa.

The one I can give credit to is Momma-From Momma Says Read
I first heard of her earlier this year from her Facebook page with all the amazing giveaways she is constantly doing.  Over the past few months I have slowly started to get to know her better.  I hope that continues!

No one I know in real life has a blog so I don't have anyone else just yet that I know of.

I would love to get to know more bloggers.  So I have some open slots right now for the question the next time it is asked. :) *Hint Hint*

Day 2
What's your bedtime reading ritual?

Well, when I read before bed what I do depends on how early I head that direction.  If I plan to do some serious reading for a couple hours, I grab a drink (water or tea usually) and maybe a light snack (such as carrot sticks).  Then I prop a bunch of pillows around me to get a comfy position half sitting/half laying down.  at this point I am often in sleep clothes.

As it gets later, of if I am only planning a short read time, I finding getting ready for bed (brush/wash,etc), grab my cat and curl up with her on my arm, fully laying down now and read for awhile.

If I have to get up early I will read a book I enjoy but am not to into yet so I am not stuck up all night reading hopefully.  Once I have laid down, reading can last 5 min-1 hr.

Guilty admission-some nights I don't read before bed.  Sshhh!! Don't tell!

15 Day Book Blogging Challenge- Day 1

Hosted and created by Good Books and Good Wine.

Day 1:
 Make 15 Book related confessions

1)  I have WAY too many books- Including Fiction, Nonfiction, graphic novels, children books, Kindle books, etc  I have around 5000 total books.  My family keep telling me to open up a bookstore and when I mention me moving they all groan.  Not because of heavy furniture...Oh no, it is the boxes after boxes of books.
