My Dewey's Readathon Plan & Intro Meme

readathon5

I am so excited!!  I have a couple candles ready to set up for some soft scents to enjoy, relax and invigorate while I read.
Any opinions which one(s) I should use?

I made some yummy pasta salad that will have a variety of fresh veggies, cheese cubes, ham and olives in it.   Plus I have some tea ready and a large variety of snacks both healthy and junk food.

Obviously I will not be eating everything shown above.  It is for the family to share and not all will be used but it gives plenty of options.  We also have iced tea ready, along with other drink options, including frozen fruit and yogurts bases and juice to make smoothies! And dips for the chips too!

The reading piles are no better. Although a few of these I already have in progress, so that helps.

I also have some ebooks I plan to work on.

In addition to reading, I'll be cheerleading and hosting a mini-challenge!

I don't have a set goal of books or pages but I do have a fun reward system.  For every 150 novel pages I read I get to spend $10 at a bookstore for myself.  Normally with the holidays coming up I don't buy books for personal use until January.  But we have a bit extra so I will splurge a bit.
If I read 1500 or more pages, a friend has offered to treat me to a full spa day!  It doesn't get much better than that, if I can do it.  Graphic Novels and picture books I have to read 3 pages to count as 1 though and at least 40% of my reading has to by actual novels (or nonfiction) to count.  So wish me luck!

Being this starts at 5 am for me, I plan to start with some hot tea and either read some of the kids books or graphic novels until I am awake, then I will move on to novels.
Here are a couple books I tend to start this readathon with (fully subject to change at anytime):

Graphic Novels:
Assassination classroom - Tome 6So Cute It Hurts!!, Vol. 3
Novels:
Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X, #1)Golden Son (Red Rising Trilogy, #2)

Introduction Meme:
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
USA-CA

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
As of right now finishing Scarlet and Ready Player One, but that might change when it is time to pick a book since I am already starting with some larger books, I might want something shorter.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
The red vines.  I don't get them very often and they are a favorite treat.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
Errr....I am am not a morning person.  There is the something and it's as good as it gets before the sun comes up. Normally I would have just gone to bed about 3 hours ago.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I've participated previously and always tried to push myself to stay awake and read all the hours.  Not this time.  A nap will almost assuredly be taken. Also, this is my first year officially cheering so that will be something fun and new to do when I take breaks :)

    1. I just hope i read enough for it. If not, fun to try!
Ready player one is just regular hardback. Although I heard who did the audio and now I want to hear it too!
