Young Adult Giveaway Hop 2015-INT

 Bookhounds is hosting another great giveaway hop!


For this stop the prize is up to $25 worth of books from The Book Depository.  You pick out what books you want.  the only catch is they have to be Young Adult.  You can get as many as you want as long at the total is $25 or less.

This is open to anyone worldwide as long as TBD ships to you.

Be sure to read my rules page for giveaway details!!!  Be sure answer all parts of the comment for your first entry to count!  For comments- be sure they are meaningful and complete!! ONE random winner will be notified no later than August 24th (USA date) and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be chosen.

  2. Oh that's a toughie. Some of my old school faves are Demon in My View by Amelia Atwater Rhodes, Old Magic by Marianne Curley, the Forbidden Game trilogy by L.J. Smith...and then pretty much all Jennifer Armentrout's paranormal lineup! So so many faves!

  16. I love Derek Landy's Skullduggery Pleasant series (fun and a skeleton hero!). The Book Thief hands down is my favorite audiobook - very emotional.

Twilight was the first young adult book I'd read as an adult, and it will always be a sentimental favorite of mine because it opened up the idea that I didn't have to just read from this narrow category of adult fiction, it doesn't have to be about the character's age matching up with my own, depending on my mood, any book might appeal to me.

I love The Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout, Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins, UnEnchanted by Chanda Hahn, Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep and anything by Cassandra Clare because when I read them I can't stop because I am always wondering what is going to happen next and it just makes you want to finish them in one sitting!!   32. LM Montgomery's Emily of New Moon trilogy is surprisingly modern, Keshni Kashyap's TINA'S MOUTH has a great heroine, and Meagan Brothers' DEBBIE HARRY SINGS IN FRENCH is really thought-provoking!

  34. This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, she never fails to make me cry hysterically! The Raven Boys which is the first book I ever really got a huge book hangover for! Daughter of Smoke and Bone! I love Laini Taylor and she is writing a new book!

  35. Some of my favorite young adult books are: The throne of glass series. These books are incredible. Sarah writes the hottest fictional guys also, that's a plus. But the characters! You can connect to them. And so many plot twists or big reveals you weren't expecting. So many secrets! This series is amazing and I will never stop expressing my love for it. Also, The Raven boys. I love the characters and the writing style of this book. An ember in the ashes. Just wow. I adore that book.

  39. One of my favorite YA reads is LILY AND DASHES BOOK OF DARES by Rachel Cohen and David Leavithan. Why? Because it is the perfect read for YA fans who are bookish. Trust me on this. If you haven't read it, do yourself the favor. ^-^

  41. Love the Eon duology by Alison Goodman. The writing is absolutely gorgeous and you can never guess what happens next. Another one of my favs is the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. Again, gorgeous writing and excellent plot twists.

  42. Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and Under the Never Sky trilogy by Veronica Rossi are some of my favorite YA novels. Great writing and world building, amazing characters and interesting plot.

On of my Favorite YA novels is Made you up by Francesca Zappia, because it deals with schizophrenia in a way that makes you understand what it's like to have that condition ( at least I think so). Another great YA series is the Night School series by C.J. Daugherty. It is fast paced and not what you expect at all, I really love this series.

(2) Dead Girls Series by Katie Alender because its creepy and awesome......(3) Across the Universe because it was the first book ive ever read about being in space (and i love space).....and (4) The Forest of Hands and Teeth because its also creepy and awesome!!     Bloodlines series by Michelle Read - because of the romance between the two main characters
    The Hunger Games trilogy - impossible to put down

  50. i love post apocalyptic survival books i dont know if they are considered young adult or not, i never know if a book is considered young adult or not, but some of my favorites are the life as we knew it series, dark inside and the sequel rage within :) i like them bc they are post apocalyptic survival books *.*

  52. I would have to say the Harry Potter series. They have wide appeal and I couldn't get enough of the characters, the story, the magic... II still belong to a group of other HP fans and go into withdrawal if I don't visit the Harry Potter areas at Universal at least every few weeks. AND I'm 62!

  53. I loved Anna Bank's Syrena series - it was unique and full of very memorable characters. The Lunar Chronicles because of the awesome new take on old stories. The White Rabbit Chronicles because the characters were great - Kat is one of my favorite secondary characters - and there are zombies. Thanks for the giveaway!

  59. Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas! I heard it was about assassins and faes I immediately delved into it because I really loved A Court of Thorns and Roses written by the same author and she had me at assassins! Assassin's Creed is one of the coolest games ever.

  60. My fav YA book is Prisoner of Night and Fog, both because I love history and psychology, and this book delves deep into the mind of hitler. Plus, the characters are great and well fleshed-out and the writing is engaging! ;)

I like the Asylum series by Madeleine Roux and the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs :) They both involve time travel and I can follow them; some time travel books are hard to follow but I enjoyed both ot these series' and am awaiting the next installment in both, coming this fall :)

    the reason i love these genres is mainly because of J.R.R Tolkien,C.S Lewis and of course the queen J.K Rowling(i am not sure if HP is considered YA,but if it is then it is definately among my favourite reads)

  92. My two top series are the lux series by jennifer armentrout and by the bloodline books by richelle mead. I love the main characters in both, the boys are sexy and have attittude, the girls have bookish geeky personalities i relate to and they both slowly fall in love and have happy endings. I love it when you get to see the two main characters meet and fall in love, it's like you're on that journey with them.

  101. Some of my favorite bookseries are Divergent written by Veronica Roth, Delirium by Lauren Oliver and Legend by Marie Lu. I really like them all, and I think it is because I find all of them very realistic. In addition, they are all well-written and I really find the plots very interesting.

  113. I recently read Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen and loved it. It was the first book I read of hers but it definitely won't be the last. She has a readable writing style, realistic characters, and an absorbing plot.

    I also enjoyed Shelter by Harlan Coben. He is one of my favorite authors and this was his first YA book. His plots are always unpredictable, the character development is great, and he always injects humor.

  115. There's so many! I guess I would have to go with the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. It's what got me interested in faery stories in the first place, and I've reread the series so many times I've lost count.
