So this a a rewind week to do a past Top Ten that we missed. So I am doing the Original #10 post for Books I Can't Believe I've Never Read.
I have gone through my 'to-read' list and sorted by total number of ratings and then by highest rating average, also books that have been on my list the longest. Here is a mix of the results
Interesting list! Of these books, I've read Roots and Anne Frank--both are heavy books, but well worth the read. Oh-- :-)I've also read Memoirs of A Geisha, which I really liked--a very fascinating look into a totally different culture.
ReplyDeleteI've never read Dragon Tattoo , but I feel like I should :-)
I saw the movie for Memoirs of a Geisha but still want to read the book. Most of my graduating class had Anne Frank as required reading but somehow I missed it and I was one of the few who actually wanted to read it. :)
DeleteNice topic choice! The only one I ever read was Anne Frank. That was so long ago too! It was even that edition you show here!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I think it is the most common cover for the book. :) Thanks!
DeleteI really need to read some of these books too! Oops. Great list :-)
ReplyDeleteI think we all have those lists of books that most have read or that have been sitting around, waiting to be read. :)
DeletePride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favorite books! And Girl with a Dragon Tattoo is just so very good. Dark but good.
ReplyDeleteYea, I saw the movie for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Very dark. I want to see how the book compares. Pride and Prejudice I somehow missed back in school but still I want to read it.
DeleteGreat pick. The only ones I have read are Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (took so long to get into but ended up not being able to put it down) and Angels & Demons (really great too). I am glad I am not the only one who hasn't read Pride & Prejudice. Nice list :) My TTT.
ReplyDeleteYea, I keep postponing Girl with the Dragon tattoo as I keep hearing it is very indepth and I am a bit intimidated by it. Angels and Demons I have no excuse as to why not though. :)
DeleteThank you for stopping by my page earlier. I always like to talk to other readers.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about that topic, too, but then chose another one, Top Ten Most Memorable Secondary Characters , as you know.
You should definitely read the first three books from your list, they are all brilliant. From the others, I have read "Memoirs of a Geisha", it's a nice book but not necessarily one that everyone should have read. And "Roots" is still on my wishlist, too.

I really enjoyed memoirs of a geisha. But I love plots centered in asian culture. I also think the movie was very well done. It is actually one of my favorite movies.
