Top Ten Tuesday 14

So this a a rewind week to do a past Top Ten that we missed.  So I am doing  the Original #10 post for Books I Can't Believe I've Never Read.
I have gone through my 'to-read' list and sorted by total number of ratings and then by highest rating average, also books that have been on my list the longest.  Here is a mix of the results

 Pride and Prejudice   1984
The Diary of a Young Girl   Angels & Demons (Robert Langdon, #1)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1)   The Tangle Box (Magic Kingdom of Landover, #4)
Blood Song (Raven's Shadow, #1)   The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, #1)
Roots: The Saga of an American Family  Memoirs of a Geisha

  1. Interesting list! Of these books, I've read Roots and Anne Frank--both are heavy books, but well worth the read. Oh-- :-)I've also read Memoirs of A Geisha, which I really liked--a very fascinating look into a totally different culture.
I've never read Dragon Tattoo , but I feel like I should :-)

    1. I saw the movie for Memoirs of a Geisha but still want to read the book. Most of my graduating class had Anne Frank as required reading but somehow I missed it and I was one of the few who actually wanted to read it. :)

  2. Nice topic choice! The only one I ever read was Anne Frank. That was so long ago too! It was even that edition you show here!

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. I think we all have those lists of books that most have read or that have been sitting around, waiting to be read. :)

  4. Pride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favorite books! And Girl with a Dragon Tattoo is just so very good. Dark but good.

    1. Yea, I saw the movie for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Very dark. I want to see how the book compares. Pride and Prejudice I somehow missed back in school but still I want to read it.

  5. Great pick. The only ones I have read are Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (took so long to get into but ended up not being able to put it down) and Angels & Demons (really great too). I am glad I am not the only one who hasn't read Pride & Prejudice. Nice list :) My TTT.

    1. Yea, I keep postponing Girl with the Dragon tattoo as I keep hearing it is very indepth and I am a bit intimidated by it. Angels and Demons I have no excuse as to why not though. :)

  6. Thank you for stopping by my page earlier. I always like to talk to other readers.

I was thinking about that topic, too, but then chose another one, Top Ten Most Memorable Secondary Characters , as you know.

You should definitely read the first three books from your list, they are all brilliant. From the others, I have read "Memoirs of a Geisha", it's a nice book but not necessarily one that everyone should have read. And "Roots" is still on my wishlist, too.

  7. I really enjoyed memoirs of a geisha. But I love plots centered in asian culture. I also think the movie was very well done. It is actually one of my favorite movies.
