It's Monday 3

3

I am combining these two since I read both.  I focus on middle grade (youth), YA and Adult for reviews but on the meme I will posting and share anything I read. Click the Picture to go to it's Goodreads page
What I finished reading last week:
ScrapScrap
by Emory Sharplin
I really ended up enjoying this book!  Apparently the author is planning a sequel.  I hope she does and that it is out soon.  Wonderful medieval-fantasy.  See my review here.

Blogging for Dummies

Blogging for Dummies
Yes, I realize this is not a novel, but it is a book I finished.  While I will not review it I will still mention it here.  I mainly went through this book hoping for some new insight to improving this blog.  Apparently, after bloggin now for 3 months, this isn't very helpful since be then you are forced to learn by other methods.  Still, couple tips I gained which is good.

Storm Born, Volume 1 (Dark Swan, #1)

Dark Swan-Storm Born
by Richelle Mead
Graphic Novel
I love Richelle Mead.  Now I need to go hunt down the novel to this.  Sadly I read this first.  Lots of fun, but I think the novel will have so much more to it.  See me review here.

Books I have made Progress in:
Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1)
Beautiful Creatures
Now on Page 300

So far I am enjoying it.  It is not so far and wonderful that I want to read it in a couple sittings but it is still good.

Their Baby MiracleTheir Baby Miracle
Page 24
Just beginning this book.  So far I have mixed emotions.  So far the main female character, Reba, does not impress me but the 'miracle' idea does.  We shall see....

Books I want to start reading soon:

The Acadian Secret  The Beginning of This, the End of That  I, Minion (The Minion Chronicles, #1)

    1. I think I need HTML more than anything. I can't do design, buttons, etc to save my life and I am too broke to pay so self-teaching it is :)

    1. It is pretty. Although, to be honest, I almost didn't get it because the when I saw the cover I thought of a book genre completely different so I am glad I stopped and read the summary or I'd have missed a great read! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I think I need something more specific than blogging for dummies. I have only read 8 Richelle Mead books but loved them all. Thanks!

  7. Reading a blogging book when you've invented the wheel yourself isn't that bad. As you say, there are always some tips that might be useful.

I hope you have a great week.

  14. I looked up Scrap and it does look good. Actually it looks like the kind of book I'd like to try as an audio.

I wonder if I could get any use out of Blogging for Dummies. I've been blogging for years but on such a small scale...

    1. I recommend Scrap more as an audio. It has a lot or world building that changes at various setting as the story progresses so its nice to pause just to envision what is happening. Easier to do, in my opinion, reading it yourself.
I don't see see any reason not to look into blogging for dummies. Never know where a new idea can come from.

  15. Blogging for Dummies! I don't know why but I find that hilarious. It must be more of an introduction to blogging book? Not surprised to hear you didn't find it all that useful. I have one Dummies book, on knitting, and it didn't work out for me. Their diagrams and directions just weren't easy to follow.

Haven't heard of Scrap but it looks good - love a good medieval fantasy!

    1. Yea, some dummy books are nice but others aren't. This one was too broad, offered too many sites, and not enough details, plus out of date on sites.

Scrap was great-I highly recommend it!
