Having celebrated Thanksgiving in October, I can tell you that I love sweet potatoes and turkey with gravy :D

ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate Thanksgiving here and I don't know a winter related book, but I recomend "Vision In White" by Nora Roberts, it's pretty cute.

ReplyDeleteI'm not really big on Thanksgiving food. I'm totally the odd man out on that one! LOL! I do like having ham, though everyone else prefers the turkey. For some reason I just don't have the tastebuds for it.
ReplyDeleteI do like looking for different dessert recipes though! Usually ends up being something peanut butter & chocolatey because those are the best ingredients naturally! ;)

ReplyDeleteMashed potatoes and corn. Vegetarian, and Thanksgiving isn't exactly my favorite holiday. It coincides with deer hunting season, so it meant family would come in and give me a hard time about not eating meat.

ReplyDeleteWe have a tradition in our home, regardless of what else is on the Thanksgiving menu we will always have cheesy artichoke squares :) This is an appetizer type dish made with marinated artichokes, cheese, eggs, garlic, onion, and breadcrumbs all mixed together and baked in the oven- YUM Thank you for participating in this fun hop.

My mom and one of my aunts are nurses so it tends to be planned around their schedules so it doesn't always fall on the actual day --- this year we're having it the weekend before Thanksgiving! But it's always great fun to catch up with everyone and see how my little cousins have grown and of course, to fill up on amazingly delicious homemade food!
