Top Ten Tuesdays 12

Hosted by Broke and Bookish.

So this week was book worlds I would never want to be in or characters I would never want to be.  So I will be sharing a mix!

So these are some book worlds I would never want to be a part of.  Sadly, they can all fall under the same basic dystopian genres but those are meant to be unpleasant worlds, right?  Most books I read I would love to visit the world of.  So this was tricky.

Plague of the Dead (Morningstar Strain, #1)
Zombies!  And easy to become one.  And the set traps! Yikes!!

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)
Mostly poor communities under military control, a crazed main city, death matches, and worse...no thanks.

BioShock: Rapture
Have you played the games?  If you have you can guess why I wouldn't want to be here.  Drug obsessive loonies, violent psychos, power hungry tyrants.

Viral Nation (Viral Nation, #1)
A broken, small society, disconnected cities, and government secrets.

And now for the characters I would never want to be... Honestly, I wouldn't want to BE any character but these are a few that I especially would prefer to never be.
Boys Over Flowers: Hana Yori Dango, Vol. 1 (Boys Over Flowers, #1)

Tsukushi in Boys Over Flowers
I love the series but I would hate to be in her place.  Crazy rich kids, obsessive guys with a love/hate personality and constantly struggling financial situation!

Demon Seed
Susan in Demon Seed
Crazy, dominating computer takes over her house and controls her life in horrid, disturbing way!

Dark Souls (Dark Souls, #1)
Emily from Dark Souls
This poor girl struggles with who/what she is, How she is and more.  No clue who to trust, who are her friends, or enemies!  No one to turn to or trust!  Sheesh!

Quarantine: The Loners (Quarantine, #1)
Any Student!
I would be terrified to be in this school! Violent chaos!!!

The House of Thunder
Susan
What is up with Susan's and Dean Koontz?!  Anyways, woman wakes up from a coma a a scattered memory where things are (or are not) as they seem. I would hate the mind games she goes through!

Blood Games
Once again, any character!
Death, violents, terror and crazies!  Run, run as fast as you can!

    1. They do. But that is half the point is that they are realities/worlds one wouldn't want to be a part of. Thanks for stopping by, as always! :)

    1. I agree. Too much control and terror. I couldn't imagine having children in such a place.

    1. Yeah. I wouldn't want to visit that world at all. When Rapture was first created, sure but then I would be stuck there for the horror to follow. No thanks!

  4. Great list! What a surprise - I didn't expect to see Boys Over Flowers on here. But she does get bullied a lot, which has to suck. :(

    1. I LOVE the series but between crazy rich guys, backstabbing girls numbering more that one could count I think I will pass. Regular HS was drama enough. Her life would have been more than I could take. I wouldn't want to be any other student in that school either. Rich snobs!

  5. Good list, I agree the world of The Hunger Games isn't one I'd ever like to live in.

  7. I didn't know bioshock had novels! I've never played the games, but I liked the look of some of the costumes I've seen from it (like Elizabeth's)
