Day 12
How do I plan on getting more followers this year?
Well, actually great as follower numbers are I instead will strive more for loyal followers. I would rather have a handful of people would come to this blog and like what they see, maybe get some book ideas or just learn more about books they like that to have a large number of followers who MIGHT stop by 1-2 times a years, usually just for a giveaway hop. While I will still do hops I want to focus more on quality content and activity involvements.
I do plan on more interaction on other blogs, facebook pages and Goodreads. While I have a twitter account I must be honest, that I do not use to very well for contacts so not nearly as active there. Commenting on other blogs, challenges etc will be a big focus.
Regardless loyal, repeat followers I my main focus. And if there is something I can do to get you interested, as always, please let me know.
Totally right. We are all focused on numbers, but in the end, visits and comments are what counts. Not in order to get ARCs or such, of course...but most of us (I hope) started out our own blogs with the main purpose of having a personal space on the net where we can, coincidentally, introduce books and authors to other people (yes, I read your About section ;). But it's the same for me!).
ReplyDeleteI've never come across your blog before. I see you have some peculiar titles in your Review list - will explore!
Thanks for stopping by! I read a wide variety and love sharing new titles. Hope you can always find something interesting here!
DeletePeople reading and commenting are definitely more important than the numbers!
ReplyDeleteThat they are! I am here to share the love of books, not be a stat bragger :)
Deleteyes I agree, I would rather have loyal followers that will comment and engage more than just the numbers.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Glad to know I am not alone in that thought.
