Skip Beat 30

Skip Beat!, Vol. 30
SKIP BEAT VOL 30

Summary:Show biz is sweet, but revenge is sweeter!Kyoko Mogami followed her true love Sho to Tokyo to support him while he made it big as an idol. But he's casting her out now that he's famous! Kyoko won't suffer in silence--she's going to get her sweet revenge by beating Sho in show biz!

Ren’s new cast mate Taira Murasame used to be a biker, and he sees show biz as just another gang to get to the top of. Normally Ren would have no problem dealing with a punk, but his role as BJ requires him to tap his darkest depths. When Murasame and Ren have to fight on camera, can Ren remember that it’s only acting?!

Review:  This is such a fantastic series! *squeal*

So, as always, I must advise those of you who have not read the series to read them, starting with volume one. Also, be forward about reading this review as it may not make much sense if you have not read previous volumes.

So in this volume, Ren continues to spiral further into his past as he delves deeper into his role as Cain/BJ. Kyoko is not sure whom is facing anymore: Ren, BJ, Cain, or...someone else. This also has her in a state of confusion about staying in her role as Cain's sister or be herslef confronting Ren.

This volume had me bouncing in my seat, wanting to read the next volume. Sadly, I am going to suffer Skip-Beat withdrawal until summer it seems. Summer: come soon

  1. Ah, I love this series. I think I'm as far as Chapter 200? I'm starting to like Sho more and more. But of course he doesn't deserve Kyoko. Plus, it is super funny.
    Good review :)

    1. Well I meant to respond to this directly but then realized it posted as regular comment. Response is posted below on Nov 11. Sorry!

  2. Ugh, no! I do not like Sho one bit. He is still way too shallow and just needs to leave Kyoko alone. But his reactions can be amusing. I will give him that much (and only that much).

  3. I've never read the series, because it looks like a huge commitment! It does sound intriguing, though...

  4. Can't tell if Blogger ate my comment or not...anyway, even though this looks like a major time-consumer, I am tempted!

    1. I love it too! Amazing series. I had all the volumes but then a neighbor borrowed a bunch and moved, taking them with them so I need to re-buy them when I have the money. It is a must have series!
