  3. I was about 9 or 10 and my parents threw a surprise Halloween party for my brother and myself, and all our cousins. Mom made our costumes as she always did. She always made great costumes. They decorated and made a mini haunted house, dad put on a magic show. We had games/contests, prizes and goodies bags, homemade Halloween themed food and treats, and scary movies. Best time ever. My cousins still remember it fondly too, and we're all in our 30's now.

  6. My favorite Halloween was about 2 years ago when my grandson was a Police Officer and my granddaughter was Olivia the Pig. My grandson has recently learned to walk; we had so much fun that year.

  7. My favorite Halloween ever was the first I got to go out Trick or Treating on my own. Middle School! I made my own costume - a baby - easy! Then we had a party at my best friend's house after Trick or Treating. We all felt so grown that night.

  8. My favorite Halloween was when I was a kid and had broken my knee and had to walk around with crutches but my friends were nice about it and still let me trick or treat with them.

  15. First, let me just say that I love love love Hocus Pocus! I've been waiting all summer for October to come so I could watch it! My favorite Halloween memory is trick or treating from the back of the truck when I was a kid. We lived in the country so you had to go in a vehicle, jump in the back, jump out. It started raining on us. LOL. Great memories!

  16. hum it was 5years ago i think on one of the first Tchullu roleplaying game party we made. We had decorated all teh room and teh players didn't know what to expect when they entered in teh dark it was super fuinnyto see they jump when they touched something or on every little sound ( which makes me think that your spooky cd would be a fabulous addition for new edition) and i also loved to see them try to guess what they were eating as no one guessed right

  21. We first let our son go trick or treating at age 2, that was 2 years ago. We took him to the local elementary first and they had cute little games, he won a pint of ice cream! We took him to his great grandma's as well, it was her last Halloween with us and we really enjoyed the time we spent with her, and she loved seeing him in his costume!

  22. I loved seeing Sloan play during my trip to London on Halloween in 2000! I wasn't expecting to see them tour, and the whole occasion was very special!

  23. I was about 12 or 13, me and my dad went all out on a costume. I wanted to be a vampire so we got a corset, pleather pants, badass combat boots, and the fangs that look realistic and mold to your teeth. I was going to the bands Halloween party it was at someone's house who practically lived near no one in the woods we set up this elaborate maze and I was apart of it. I still have the costume all but the pants fit and the shirts a bit bustier then it used to be lol

  27. Mine was a few years back spent at my college friend's house. She lived on the main street of her town so EVERYONE went there for candy. I felt like we handed out candy hour after hour--but it was fun seeing all the costumes! Her mother also made some of the most unique, spookiest food! Frankenstein cheeseball? Heck yea I'm in! It was just a really fun time.

  29. My favorite Halloween ever was my daughters 6th. She was adorable as Scooby Doo. It was the first year she fell in love with him and she tried to wear that costume everyday for a month. I made it into a pillow for her bed when she outgrew it 4 years ago :).

  30. My favorite Halloween was when we had a blizzard. Me and my friends went trick or treating and there was hardly any other kids out so people were dumping handfuls of candy into our bags. We ended up with a pillow case full of candy each.

  31. My favorite Halloween was when we went to a halloween event at the zoo at night,spooky! There was a costume contest,an outdoor movie for the kids,and lots of other stuff,plus we got the chance to have a look at the nocturnal animals and all the other ones that were still awake.

  34. I remember Halloween when I was in 4th grade. My parents let me trick or treat with my friends that year and I was a jester. My friends and I *ran* to all the houses and ended up with TONS of candy!

  35. 2 years ago there was a huge windstorm on Halloween, not too many people wanted to get out in it. It was actually awesome, it gave the night such a creepy feeling. Then the city decided to also have trick or treating the next night since so few people trick or treated in the storm. So we had 2 great nights to trick or treat.

  36. Umm, I am not sure what the candy is called. But, they are chewy and come in black or orange wrappers. They have a peanut butter flavor. My sister always traded them with me for my crunch bars! Thanks for the chance.

    It´s hard to say when my best one was, but I would say last year just because of how scared we all was after our little walk. :)

(It was THE TERROR with Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson. Anything seemed midler in comparison so we could go to sleep easier.)

  48. My favorite Halloween was when I was a teenager and my parents went all out for a Halloween party. They turned our barn into a haunted house complete with a coffin and other scary setups. Everyone had a great time. It's still talked about at family get togethers.

  49. My favorite Halloween had the whole family involved in greeting trick or treaters. My brother was a vampire in a coffin and would sit up and scare kids when they passed, Mom and Dad where scary old people and I gave out candy as a witch. We had a lot of fun that night.

  62. I was Marilyn Monroe and I went on a date with one of my friends!! We bar hopped and went so many places and saw so many people!! He is no longer with us so getting to do that with him really meant the world!

  63. Nearly all of my childhood Halloweens were amazing. My dad had a large trailer, and every year he would throw bales of hay on it and attach it to his truck. He would drive it around the neighborhood, and kids would jump on and off as we went trick-or-treating. We were legendary in the neighborhood, and I always loved how everyone thought my family was rockstars for the Halloween hayride. :-)

  69. I think my favorite Halloween ever was the year that my mother made my costume because she could not afford to buy one. She used some of my sweats and then crocheted some ruffles and pompoms, bought me a clown wig and used some of her own makeup to paint my face. I chose to wear the ruffles for many years after, even though I could have gotten something else!

  73. My country doesn't really celebrate Halloween but I remember once as a kid dressing up all my dolls creepily and hiding them around the house, trying to create my own haunted house. That's the only memorable Halloween I can recall. Thank you.

  78. I think my favorite Halloween was my junior year as an undergrad. I went to a party with some friends and ended up playing a drinking game with my crush at the time. I ended up making a fool of myself, but it was such a great night anyway.

  80. I think my favorite was the year my great niece was born. She was only a few days old on Halloween so they couldn't take her out. They dressed her in a "bag of rocks" costume and let her lay in the bassinet in the living room while they gave candy to trick or treaters. Of course my great niece would never remember this but we have pictures and it was sooo cute, lol :)

  86. Most of my halloween's have been pretty standard but these last few years we've had some horror movie nights and just stayed in. Very relaxing and as an adult you can afford to buy candy in big quantities!

  88. We had great Halloweens as a family. There were 5 of us kids. We always made our own costumes, and my Mom would come with us dressed as a clown. One year I went as the Queen of Spades which I had painted myself. I remember really enjoying making the costume! Favorite candy is Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and peanut M & Ms!

  89. One of my favorite Halloeens ever was one of my husband Grandfathers last ones. Hubbys Grandfathers BDay was on Halloween and he loved giving out candy.... he loved the kids. As he got older he thought people came over dressed up for his BDay and would laugh and have the greatest time. He would still hamd out candy but that year he started giving out his BDay cake ! It was funny, and we figured if thats what he wanted to do, it wwas fine with us. Grandma Beck waasnt too happy, she lost alot of saucers that night, but it was fun as most sang Happy Birthday to Gramps that nightt !

  90. One of my favorites was a few years ago when I took my kids to their first Trunk-or-Treat. They went around to cars and received candy from the trunks. The kids were able to get a bunch of candy in one area. Thanks.

  93. Trick or treating as a child I used a brown paper grocery bag and filled it up, so I when home and got another bag and filled it up too. All that candy for free was truly amazing to a kid like me.

  95. One of my favorite halloween's was the year the my mom scared a trick or treater. She always dressed up as a witch for Halloween and she even had a fake nose. When she was giving candy out this one little kid was afraid of her. So, she said it's ok and she took her fake nose off (thinking the kid would not be scared then) and the kid ran screaming away.

  96. My favourite Halloween was the year I dressed as Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the school 'parade'. I was very small then, and two boys dressed in Grim Reaper costumes kept teasing me about where my boyfriend Quasimodo was. I finally just got fed up and shoved them both down at once. I was very proud of that, since they were both bigger than I was :)

My favorite Halloween is when my now 19 yr old son was 3 years old was Po from the Teletubbies show & after I got him ready he really wasn't feeling it but oh my, when he looked in the mirror his little jaw dropped & he looked at me & said, Momma, Momma, I'm Po! I'm really Po & he stood in that mirror for over an hour in amazement, lol. He almost missed trick or treating because he would not leave the mirror & of course I had to peel it off of him 3 days later :/

  105. Halloween circa 1986 I wanted a Rainbow Brite costume soooooo bad and we couldn't find one anywhere, but my parents hunted and hunted until they finally found one. You know the kind with the big plastic mask that was suffocating and the plastic costume apron thin that tied in the back...good ole days! Needless to say I got like 4 full size candy bars that year. I wish I saved that costume though, Rainbow Brite is making a comeback!

  107. Last year was my favorite. It was my first Halloween as a parent. My fiancée, daughter and I all dressed up as Ninja turtles and went trick or treating with my nieces and nephew! It was a lot of fun.

  116. I love Halloween!. Four years ago, my baby was 2 weeks old and in the NICU. He was a preemie. I couldn't find any costumes small enough to fit him, so I painted bones on a plain onesie and painted a hat to look like a skull. All the nurses thought he was so cute. After spending the day in the hospital with him, we went home and took the older kids trick or treating.
