Summer is coming to a close, school is about to start once more. For many, this means 1 last chance to hit the beach for some summer reading!
So the question always comes up: What are some great beach reads. Well here are some I would recommend:
I am sure there are many others but certain things come to mind for beach reachs. Water, light and summer. So there are some titles that qualify. Honestly I will not read at a beach. My previous 2 attempts were disastrous to my books so nope. TOO windy or too many people around for my taste. But if I were to find a quiet beach these might be nice.
Now, on the the giveaway! I am offering you the chance to win any THREE books you want from the book depository that you would take to the beach with you.
First place Winner: THREE books of their choice of Beach Reads from The Book Depository
Second Place: SWAG KIT I have a lot of swag so I have an manilla envelope full of bookmarks, a keychain, a poster, stickers and more for fellow booklovers!

Ooh I'm the first entry! 0.0 lol. The best book I read this summer was The Lovely and the Lost by Page Morgan. I looove that series! Thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteRuin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo, it was the perfect ending to the series.
ReplyDeleteOh, the best? Hmm, that's a tough one! I'd have to say Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker! It was an amazing tear-jerker that made it on my favorites of 2014 list. :)
ReplyDeleteWords of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. I just really loved this book so much.
ReplyDeleteI genuinely like Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout, as well as The Pledge series by Kimberly Derting. Boneseeker by Brynn Chapman. It has been a really good summer!
ReplyDeleteI loved On the Fence by Kasie West, To All the Boys by Jenny Han, and Boys Don't Knit by T.S Easton, to name a few.
ReplyDeleteRogue by Katy Evans. I didn't think it could get better than Remy, but Greyson definitely gives him a run for his money. His attitude is so different, I wasn't sure I'd like him as much. Wrong! Also, the whole Rosemary Beach series (Abbi Glines). I don't really know what to say...yummm. Rush and Woods talk so dirty, but they are the sweetest guys. Rush's adoration of Blaire and their baby is sexy as hell.
ReplyDeleteI have so many that I have read recently! Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood, Wool by Hugh Howey, The Kiss of Deception my Mary E. Pearson...just to name a few.
ReplyDeleteThe best book I've read this summer is "Shadow & Bone (Grisha Trilogy Book #1)" by Leigh Bardugo. It's sort of a mythical, magical take on Russia. (I really don't know how to better describe it, so here's the Goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10194157-shadow-and-bone) I read this and the second book in the series, "Siege & Storm," in less than two days. Now I'm VERY IMPATIENTLY waiting for the library to make the third book available to me since I don't have the funds to buy it yet!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for offering this giveaway!
The best,...hmmm, that was The distance Beetwen Us by KAsie West. I really surprise when i know i just finish read this book only 2 days, and my sister like this book too. Usually she not really fond read novels, but this book, she say she like it :)
ReplyDeleteWell I read Anna and The French Kiss and it was so sweeeet :)
ReplyDeleteMy rafflecopter name is Neira
The best book I've read this summer was A Darkness Strange & Lovely by Susan Dennard. It's the sequel to Something Strange & Deadly. I tend to like second books best, because they expand on the world and really let you live there. Anyway, this was the first book to get my over my Gemma Doyle withdrawal. I loved the setting of 1876 Philadelphia and the magic wa complex and cool.
ReplyDeleteRafflecopter name: Julia Rain Wellman
DeleteArchangel kiss by Nalini Singh the second book in the hunter guild series. i really loved it because it follow book 1 perfecltly and was so captivating that i couldn't put it down. We follow elena in her transformation and learning about the new rules, discovering new caracther we want more of, the investigation is really keeping us on edge and even better the end is perfecty no cliffhanger really and it round well on Elena relationship to let us want to learn about another caracther without missing her
ReplyDeletehonestly though i would,'t read on a beach either^^ too afraid my book would finish damaged
It would probably be The spectacular now by Tim Tharp. It follows a young boy who's dealing with family problems, relationships and plans for the future; nothing new or originial, but i think it was written in an unique way!
ReplyDeleteI loved that the characters felt utterly honest. They come with their flaws but they have so much heart and they feel so real! The narration was really funny and smart. I'll probably reread it next summer :)
I read we were liars this summer and I really enjoyed it! it started as an average summer read but the end left me shocked!
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Just one day by Gayle Forman and have to say that I love the book! It is perfect reading for summer days.
ReplyDeleteJenna
I really enjoyed We Were Liars and Rebel Belle for different reasons!
ReplyDeleteThe best book I read this summer is the book I am reading now. Don't Breath a Word by Jennifer McMahon. I'm almost finished and I don't want it to end. It's about a girl who believes in fairies and goes missing, I don't want to say to much.
ReplyDeleteVessel by Sarah Beth Durst. It's set in the desert and is about gods and goddesses who inhabit human bodies and live centuries helping a certain desert clan. it's ingenious.
ReplyDeleteThe best book I read this summer has to have been "The Moment of Everything" by Shelly King. It's about this awesome character named Maggie who finds a book that has love letters written in the margins! It's also a great "finding yourself" novel, I think.
ReplyDeleteI think the best book I've read this summer is Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira. Although I wouldn't classify this as a beach read (too sad, I don't want to start crying at the beach haha), I read it at the beginning of this summer and loved everything about it! :) Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThe best book that I have read this summer is Ladies Night. Although I could not relate too much to the characters I have many girlfriends that could.
ReplyDeleteBest book I read was To Kill A Mockingbird :)
ReplyDeleteRead many nice books this last month.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo, amazing book and perfect ending of a perfect trilogy. Fantasy world that the author created, complex characters and great writing leave you absolutely brethless.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a giveaway! :)
Ruin and Rising! I was kinda disappointed with the ending. :/
ReplyDeleteI loved Graceling - set in a fantasy world and it was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI've just finished reading the Bulegrass Series Collection by Kathleen Brooks. I had read the first book, Bluegrass State of Mind several times before so I started with book two. I think it's safe to say I loved both Risky Shot and Dead Heat. I read all day and nearly got both of them finished in one sitting! I only stopped when I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
ReplyDeletejen dot barnard at btinternet dot com
My fav this summer would definitely be the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. It is about a girl who can't touch anyone because she drains their energy. Amazin!
ReplyDeleteThe best book I've read this summer is The Winner's Curse. It is amazing and everyone has to read it.
ReplyDeleteprobably You by Austin Grossman. It's about a guy who re-connects with his high school friends at a gaming company and has to deal with a game artifact that has a mind of its own.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Fire and Flood by Veronica Scott and absolutely loved it! I didn't expect to like it as much as I did tho. The reviews I've read about it did ring true. It was like a combination of The Hunger Games and Pokemon which was pure genius imho =))
ReplyDeleteI read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams... It's a really fun and funny book. I would put it in a Sci-fi catagory :) It's really hard to explain without spoiling xD But, let's say it's weird, funny and interesting :D
ReplyDeleteRobopogenesis, it's a sequel to Robopocalypse. It's the end of the world due to a robot uprising. It's good but a bit gory at times.
ReplyDeleteFree to Falll by Lauren Miller!
ReplyDeleteI think it's On the Fence so far :) It was a really cute and fun read.
ReplyDeleteEileen @ BookCatPin :)
It is the book I am currently nearing the end of, Looking for Alaska by John Green. That man is an amazing writer and he can stir up so may emotions..and also you can learn a lot from his books. Thank you for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI really liked Bite & Release by Cory Cyr... It's not exactly what I would consider a beach read but it's a great book nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteI have been reading A fault in Our Stars about two young people with advanced disease process girl has lung problems wears oxygen all the time and the boy lost a leg to cancer, very interesting
ReplyDeleteSo far the best book I've read this summer was The Fault in Our stars but a close second would be If I Stay. Book were very emotional reads, about young teens and going through the hardest things imaginable at their ages.
ReplyDeleteI read The Promise by Robyn Carr. It is one of her newest and another part of her Thunder Point sereies. I got to read my mother in laws copy. The main plot of the book is about a Dr. who runs a clinic in a small town, he is a widower. Peyton is the girl who did't plan on becoming involved with anyone for a long time if ever. But love seems to win out. It ha the usual great community that Robyn portrays in all her books too. Good read!
ReplyDeleteI just recently started reading Written in My Own Heart's Blood. I've waited 3 years for this one to come out!! So far it’s SO GOOD!! It has a lot of romance which is one thing I love about it. And it has adventure and action. And I cannot wait for the TV Series on the 9th to come out. I’m so excited!!
ReplyDeletemidnight thief by livia blackburne!
ReplyDelete(Zairah Divino)
ReplyDeleteSummer, in my country, is from March-May. One of my favorite reads then is Bloom by Marilyn Grey. It's a romance story, but mostly it focuses on the beauty of people. I think the author did a good job on writing about true beauty. :)
I read the Lunar Chronicles, which I loveeed but I also read some awesome contemporaries like The Distance Between Us and On The Fence. :) ohmygosh you put Christie Miller's up!! I secretly love those (secretly because they're totes cheesy :p). Hehe. Thanks for hosting this epic giveaway;! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a really hard question! Probably The 5th Wave, finally getting around to reading it was so great! I loved the story of the alien invasion, it was done so differently from other stories like this.
ReplyDeleteI just read The Outlander. It is a great time travel book set a couple hundred years ago!
ReplyDeleteI commented with the wrong email. So here it is again... "Rogue by Katy Evans. Rush's adoration of Blaire and their baby is sexy as hell."

ReplyDeleteI just reread Perfect Chemistry and A Good Debutante's Guide to Ruin. It was surprisingly great. The book cover looked a little corny but I love Sophie Jordan so I read it anyway and I am really glad I did. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteProbably the one I'm reading right now; Opal (Lux #3). I adore this series! I mean it has sexy aliens, awesome powers and characters that I love to hate. The twists aren't super dramatic and the characters are easy to get along with so, yeah, summer isn't over yet here but my current book has to be my favourite!:)
ReplyDeleteThe best book I've read this summer is The Selection. I honestly never expected to like it as much as I did. It's dystopian and the story revolves around America who is entered in the Selection where she competes with a bunch of other girls to become Prince Maxon's wife. If you hear it like this it may not sound so great, but I absolutly fell in love with America and Maxon. I just started the second book and can't wait to find out more. This is Jamie Coudeville in the rafflecopter
ReplyDeleteThe best book I have read this summer is Eon. It is about a girl who is training to become the companion of the dragon that cycle. I can't really say to much or I would be spoiling the story very quick but, basically she faces many different challenges because she is crippled so she has to figure out her own way to try to potentially connect to her dragon. So many things happen and its just such a good story! i really can't do it justice because its so hard to try to explain without giving away the story...

ReplyDeleteStill the best thing I've read this summer was A House in the Sky - totally not a genre I would go for, but I'm so happy I made this exception!!

ReplyDeleteThe best book I read this summer was Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver. I really did not like the first book in the trilogy and Pandemonium shocked me in a good way. The main character was way less annoying and it had a little bit more of an action feel while Delirium, to me, seemed ,for more than half of the book, slow-paced and somewhat contemporary-like.

ReplyDeleteErr, i haven’t read any new release book yet, i’m still on my catching up stage. But the best book i’ve read in the last few months is Oppa & I by Orizuka. I don’t know if you know her or not. She’s a local writer in Indonesia. And the book is about a sister and a brother that just meet again after 5 years separation due to their parents circumstances. It’s a cute book actually :) Too bad you might can’t read it.
ReplyDeleteI just read Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay. I love retellings and this was a great one.
