I am thinking of doing a self-goal read-a-thon. Most likely 24 hours. Being a self-goal I get to reward myself for what I read. I will set myself several levels of challenges I can earn as I get through these. Example: Read 100 pages-get a treat to eat. 500 pages-pedicure spoils, 1000- get a massage from my man (he is so wonderful to volunteer for this), 1500-get a new release book, etc.
I haven't for sure set the levels and prizes yet. Still playing with the idea.
Would anyone else be interested in joining? Figure I will do a commitment post and a wrap-up post to share how I did and what I read. Challenge may be by pages, books count, whatever one wants to do. Same with rewards. Personalize it! What do you think? Any reward or challenge ideas?
Also, I was thinking of promoting some of my fellow bloggers and have others get to know them. I am offering interviews to book blogger to share their blog, about themselves and their favorite books. If interested, email me at darjlj75(at)gmail(dot)com to let me know. I figure I can spotlight an interview every few weeks and see how it goes.
Both these events are kicking off now in honor of my 1 year Blogversary that officially starts tomorrow, March 6. Over the next month, look out for giveaways, games, etc. I hope to make it lots of fun for everyone!
I'll join you in your 24 hour challenge, but I'm going to start today.
ReplyDeleteMy goal: Finish two books (Roomies and Love Letters to the Dead)
Reward: Hmm. Pick any book I want to read that's not for a tour.
I'll let you know how it went tomorrow night. :)

Sweet! Can't wait to hear how you did! I will be doing mine sometime in the next few days.
