New Year's Challenge Day 2

My Pros and Cons of blogging.

In no particular order...
Pros-

Lots of great new book suggestions and ideas- I love blog hopping an seeing and reading about new books or when people tell me of a book they loved.

Free Books-be it hearing of free ebooks, Arcs, early releases, etc giveaways, swaps, etc.

Sharing my love of books with others.

Getting to know some great authors  Be it emailing each other over a book or post or just reading interviews and others guest posts.

Encouragement  to read more.  Reading now feels more rewarding.  A little pressure can be good to push me to finish more books.  Even better when it pays off by someone else taking an interest in the book.

2014 Series Enders Reading Challenge

The goal here is to simply finish a series, read and review the final book!  Sounds simply enough to me.   I am going to try for level 2 which means I need to try and finish 5-10 book series' this year.

as to what I will finish, I do not know.  I am working on several series' right now bu many I do not think end this year and many more have quite a ways to go and others I am having a hard time getting a copy of the book.  But I shall do my best.

I will be doing a wrap up post sharing what progress I have made in a series toward the end of each month, along with my challenge for 2014 TBR Challenge.  Please feel free to check out and join these challenges yourself.  Or even just let me know what series you are reading.

Star Wars: Legacy II-Prisoner of the Floating World (1) review

Star Wars: Legacy II, Vol. 1: Prisoner of the Floating World
Star Wars:  Legacy II-Prisoner of the Floating World (1)
by Corinna Sara Bechko, Gabriel Hardman, Rachelle Rosenberg & Dave Wilkins

Genre: Comic, Sci-Fi
Published Dec 2013
Pages: 120
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics

Summary:  "Ania Solo is just a girl trying to make her way in the galaxy—and have a little adventure along the way! But when she stumbles upon a broken communications droid and a missing lightsaber, a little adventure turns into a whole lot of trouble . . . for Ania and her friends! Collects Star Wars: Legacy #1–#5—Prisoner of the Floating World."

Review:   I had a hard time with this one. I think a lot of it has to do with the time jump. This jumps up over 100 years from the last known books and characters I had previously read. This really threw me. For the first part of the story I had no idea the time setting. This book just jumps right in, not really expaining anything of what is going on on the planet or galaxy in general. I almost stopped for that alone but being this was Star Wars I was determined to continue.

**Warning- Potential Spoilers ahead**

2014 New Year's Challenge Day 1

DAY 1:  My Blogger Resolutions

Be more active in content.
November and December were pretty dead months for me.  I had no extra posts ready to fill in time gabs.  I do not want to do that again.  So I want to work ahead more to have back-ups.  Alsoto have a better schedule so that there is a good variety of  blitzes, giveaways, reviews, memes, and other posts.

To catch up on my review books.
I accepted a lot of books for review thinking I had a lot of time and was approved for more books that I thought and ended up with a HUGE list of books I committed to.  I quickly found myself way behind when I listed them all down.  So this year is catch-up!  I will probably be getting a lot less books this year as my focus will be on what I missed.  but I still plan to share some great 2014 books as well so fear not about new books!

To better connect with other bloggers.
