Top Ten Tuesday (Er...Wednesday) -Series I've Been Meaning To Start
Top Ten Series I've Been Meaning To Start But Haven't
So, this should have gone up yesterday but I was not finished with it when my internet went down Monday evening and didn't come back until late Tues night (I think we should get a service discount for when you lose more than 24 hours like that).
Now I cannot say for sure that these are my true tops, but these were the first that came to mind that are high up the list. I have a YA/Adult mix novel series list and a Manga list here. So lets get to it.
The Novels:
Okay, technically I STARTED that last book but it was over 10 years ago and I never got the chance to finish. I stopped when I noticed the copy I had was missing pages-it has since been replaced but not read...
The MANGA:
So what are some things you are still needing to read? Do you recommend any of these to up on my priority list when I am ready to start a new series?
Hey, book twins! I also haven't started the Gunslinger series, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Red Queen, or The School for Good and Evil. I did read (most of) Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. But forever ago. And I stopped after 3 books in Game of Thrones. My patience for series is way too thin these days. :/
Best of luck with those! I'll be curious to see what you think of them, when/if you start them.
The trick I am learning is try try and focus on just a *few* at a time and also I do better when I have let at least 2 books be published (or more depending how long the series is expected to be and how often they are published)before I start the series. It is the waiting too long in between books that kills me. Finishing up some older series has been a big focus for me this year to make it easier.
I still have A Clockwork Angel and A Court of Mist and Roses on my TBR as well. Game of thrones... I gave up after the second book. Maybe I'll pick it up again later, but I find it a bit too violent.
I didn't like Hush Hush that much but I guess you have to read it and decide for yourself if the series was worth it. I loved The Infernal Devices and ACOTAR though! Happy reading!
I debated Hush Hush as a top. I have some skepticism about it but it has been on my shelves collecting dust so long that it is annoying me lol. So long as it is decent and I didn't feel I wasted shelf space I will be happy. :)
Clockwork Angel is fabulous! One of my all time favourites!
ReplyDeleteI never read the Fushigi Yuugi manga but the anime was one of the first ones I ever watched (years ago!) and I loved it!
I read the Mortal Instruments and am eager to read the spinoff series of Clare's world.
DeleteI hope you enjoy all these!

ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
If Game of Thrones is near as bad as the tv show, then yes, lots of violence. I hope we both get the chance to enjoy A Clockword Angel soon!
