Top Ten Tuesday-Summer 2015 TBR

toptentuesday

Here are Ten  of my top books on my Summer 2015 TBR list.

I love this particular TTT but I always fall short when I choose a lot of books I want to read the most.  So this is a mostly practical list, based on books I have already committed to read, have for review or a part of a series I am working on.
The goal is to read these between June  21-Sept 22

One thing that makes this list different than many others is it is not full of new released titles or upcoming titles.  I can make a list of those too but these are books I at least try to accurately plan to read.  Many new lovely titles always crop up, pushing me from readign these but I have access to these titles and intend to read them.
The Coldest Girl in ColdtownThe Burnouts (Quarantine, #3)The DonorsThunderlight (The Dragonian Series #2)
Hollow City (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, # 2)In a Wolf's EyesGathering Blue (The Giver, #2)Last Breath (The Morganville Vampires, #11)WatchersThe Hangman's Revolution (W.A.R.P., #2)
PLUS
These are past TTT season lists I have yet to get to. So these are my other focuses, and several of them, higher than those above.  A few are in progress right now.  Sometimes you think you are going one direction and then another, newer, shiny book just screams at you and you have to read it first...I did better this season than past but still keep falling behind. However I have a few more days of summer and intend to finish at least 2 of these that I am reading now.

I have created a more detailed schedule to get through these  this time.  Buddy reads are the only thing that will take priority over these.  I participate in a couple groups and I love buddy reading books with some of the members.  I hope to get them to join me for a few of these 30 titles (the last 2 books should be finished this week though).

Can I do it?  Care to guess how many of these (add in the books above too) I will have come fall?

  1. Happy Reading! Seems like you've got your summer reading cut out for you. Hollow City got to be good, haven't gotten to that one yet myself either.

  3. Two of my absolutely favorite books of last year are on your list and I really want to convince you to read them first haha. Namely these are: These Broke Stars and The Coldest Girl in Coldtown. I should continue the Jasper Dent series as well. I Hunt Killers was fantastic and ended on a cliffhanger so I'm super excited. If only those shiny now books you mentioned wouldn't catch my attention all the time.
    Lovely list. :)

  4. OOh nice! Haven't read any in the immediate top ten, but in the ones below I have enjoyed Many Bloody Returns, Unhinged, The Forever Song and Shades of A Vampire! Still trying to get around to reading more of Shade of a Vampire! Really liked that first one! So many awesome reads here! Hope you enjoy them all!

  5. The Donors was a great read - really surprising - and Koontz's early stuff is, by far, his best. I haven't read Ice Forged yet, but I do like Martin's writing, so I trust it's well worth the read.

  6. I loved I Hunt Killers and I heard that things get really crazy in the 3rd book so all I want to do is skip the Game and find out what the crazy is. (No worries though, I'm controlling myself I will read The Game soon).

  7. I really, really enjoyed A.G. Howard's Splintered series... I see you have the cover of Unhinged from that series above. I listened to the series on audible and it was fantastic. If you haven't tried audios, you should and start with Splintered!

  11. I'm not big on vampire stories, but I really enjoyed The Coldest Girl in Coldtown! Hopefully you'll enjoy it as well. Also, These Broken Stars is amazing! Blew me away the first time I read it - it's not just scifi, there's an intense survival story and a really sweet romance.

  12. Looks like a great list! I really enjoyed Many Bloody Returns and Kagawa's The Forever Song (just finished her Rogue book), and usually anything by Stephen King is good. I have the Holly Black book on my TBR list as well.

  13. Great list. I love that you added in the books from other seasons you didn't get to. It is hard to predict our moods for the whole season when we make these lists. :)

Happy reading! I hope you get through them all as you planned.
