Top Ten Tuesday-Top Ten (20) for readers who like ____ Manga!

*Ahem*....Top Twenty....

So I am taking a slightly different approach here but as so many of my TTTs are focused on novels but I also am a graphic novel fan so I figure it is time to share some Favorite manga series.  If you like manga or are curious to check any out these are some recommendations.

And I cheated some.  As I started to do this, I realized that most of these are shoujo so that limited some interest and that other series are either not complete or I haven't finished so opinions could change.  So to give a better selection I went with twenty series' to choice from.  Many are still geared to the female audience but there are some great action ones here as well.

So in no particular order-20 great manga series I have really enjoyed:

Ceres, Celestial Legend: Aya (Ceres, Celestial Legend #1)Full Moon O Sagashite, Vol. 01InuYasha: Turning Back Time (InuYasha, #1)Mars, Volume 01 (Mars, #1)Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 1 (Ouran High School Host Club, #1)Pet Shop of Horrors, Volume 01 (Pet Shop of Horrors, #1)

  1. I loooved InuYasha, Fruits Basket, Full Metal Alchemist, Ceres and Tsubasa :)! I've always wanted to read Full Moon it kinda looks like a cross between Sailor Moon and Card Captors. Have you ever read Ranma 1/2 or Fushigi Yugi?

    1. Ranma, yes. It almost made this list too. Fushigi Yugi is a series on my bookshelf, waiting to be read. :)

  2. I am trying to move into the manga realm, but am not finding the right fit for me. I'll need to look into your list of books. I've heard that Fruits Basket is an awesome series.

  3. I don't read graphic novels or manga but I did read Death Note parts 1 and 2 after I saw and loved the films. I just didn't have the money or shelf space to continue with the series!

  4. Awesome topic choice! Ceres, Mars and Full Moon are favorites of mine. I also loved Sensual Phrase, Hana Kimi, Red River and Basara (among many others). I love all of the manga on your list!

  5. Nice. I see several here that I have read some of, am presently reading, or want to read. Alot of these, I still need to watch the anime for, though, and I usually like reading the manga first.

I have read most of Arina Tanemura's series, and agree that *Full Moon wo Sagashite* was good. If you haven't read her others, that's a must-do. Love her art and storylines. Easily one of my favorite mangakas.

Among the others listed, I have read V1-V13 of FMA, various volumes of IY, a couple volumes of *Ouran*, V1-V10 of TRC, all of *Hikaru no Go*, V1-V4 of *Crimson Hero*, V1-V10 of *Furuba*, V1 of *NANA* and various volumes of *Skip Beat!*.

Most of the ones I haven't completed, I do want to complete in the future. As for others, I am always starting new series all the time. I do have V2-V10 of *NANA* checked out right now as well as some HYD volumes and V2-V5 of *Ultra Maniac*. I also have some *Puella Magi* volumes on hold on the library that they ordered because I requested them. As for *Tsuki no Shippo* (*Tail of the Moon*), I am presently reading Rinko Ueda's other series, *Stepping on Roses* at this time, and would like to get to *Tsuki* soon. (I read several TnS volumes years ago, but want to start the series over from the start.)

I am surprised *Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon* and *Hana-Kimi* did not make your list.

I find I read mostly shoujo (or even mahou shoujo) myself as well. Also, I like action-packed shounen series and shounen series with romance aspects as well.
