Picking Upcoming Reviews (Vote Now) and review procrastination

March Link-up

So I have read a lot of books but keep procrastinating on getting them done.  Literally have over 100 titles I have read in the past year without reviews up!! Yikes!  So I am going to be pushing myself to review a lot more from now on.  I even scheduled myself some time to review at least a couple times a week to start catching up.

In the meanwhile I want to get the reviews up of the books you are most interested in.  So starting with the books that have been on my “to-review” list the longest, you get to vote for which ones you want to see up right away.  The ones most voted on will start showing up within the next 2 weeks.  Once about ½ these books are up, I will get a new poll, with more titles to choose from.

While posting these, I will still be posting other review for review books, etc.

For me, I want to review everything I read, which is how I fell so far behind.  I prioritize reviews as tours first (as they are date specific), then author/publisher requests and netgalley titles.  Then other books that I read just because (library titles, purchases, gift, prizes, etc) end up being put on the wayside.  So now I have a massive list that I need to get sharing as I am tired of having all these reviews on my to-do list

Feel  let me know what  genre’s you would like to see in the next poll.  I make no promises but I love to bring you things you can enjoy!   Any tips or tricks for review burnout are great too! Do you struggle with keeping up with reviews or do you only do reviews for authors/publishers?  Do you have a way of prioritizing reviews?  How soon after you read a book do you post a review?
3/13 update Note:  Ranma 1/2 is done.  I know it is not a top vote as of today, but I don't want to be stuck with a bunch of manga only and then have to go a week or two of just that.

Up next will be City of Ashes-available this weekend!

Which books would you like to see reviews on over the next couple weeks (limit: 2 votes each please)

  1. I still can't believe I haven't read anything by Rainbow Rowell yet! I feel like the last person on planet Earth to not have read anything by her.

  3. it's a good way to start^^; for me i can't start a book before finishing the other so it means writing teh review just after reading the book before starting reading teh next one ( and if i do receive a book for review but it's rare thenit becomes the next one i have to read and review when i'm finishing the one started.

    i hope this help you

  4. I'm pretty good about keeping up with reviews, but I know it can be overwhelming sometimes. I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself to get all those old books reviewed - just start fresh now and plan to review future books!
