2018 Mount TBR Reading Challenge

 

One of my big focus points for 2018 is to get through my older books, books that have been on my shelves for a long time, etc so I feel I can better keep up with new releases with less guilt.  So, in addition to Beat the Backlist, I am doing this challenge to.  Yes they heavily overlap, but with 2 challenges I hope the motivation will be that much stronger.  

So Mount TBR is about reading books I have owned prior to the Challenge year.  YAY!  Motivation to clean up my shalves so I can get new lovelies on them (or even just make enough room to fit all my books onto the shelves....

My goal: Mt. Kilimanjaro: Read 60 books from your TBR 

 I think I can probably do more and although I hope to get through more but I have a bunch of books I want to read that I don't yet own so we shall see.  Can I make it to Olympus? (150+ bks) Challenge level subject to change.

I found this fun readathon at one of the hosts sites.  Novel Thoughts and 3 others are hosting this fun event.  Click the link to learn more!I am going for some more simple, easy reads for this being I am SUPER busy with work (I will literally be working every day except Christmas from the 14th-28th).  I hope to get through all of these.  Technically I started Clockwork Angel but didn't get very far so I am using it.

2018's Beat the Backlist Challenge Goal & TBR

 

So I tried this challenge this past year, but it seemed to fall apart for me on a few levels.  Well it is back and simplified and I love it so I am returning to give it another go!

I am hoping to read at least 100 books published before 2018.  More is ideal and reasonably possible. I am going to try and update this at least monthly to share what I have read (see toward the bottom) and what I have lined up for a TBR (will be keeping it around 100 book options for at least the first 6 months).  Keep an eye on it as it will change as I read things!!
